Out-of-control fires: 231

Active fire causes: Lightning 85 per cent, human 7 per cent, undetermined 9 per cent (percentages are rounded)

Firefighting staff deployed: 1,229

Aircraft deployed: 190

Area burned since April 1: 8,185 square kilometres
