BROSSARD, Que. - Montreal defenceman Justin Barron is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury after missing the Canadiens' practice Wednesday.

Forwards Joel Armia and Christian Dvorak and defenceman Mike Matheson also missed the session with what the team said were therapy days.

The Canadiens fell 7-2 to the New York Rangers on Tuesday at the Bell Centre, extending their losing streak to four games (0-3-1).

Barron left the game after a heavy hit from New York defenceman Jacob Trouba, while Matheson was ejected for instigating a fight with Trouba. Armia and Dvorak finished the game.

Forward Juraj Slafkovsky, recovering from an upper-body injury, practised separately Wednesday, doing shooting drills. He is not expected to return to the lineup until next week.

Montreal hosts the St. Louis Blues on Saturday and then visits the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday.
